  • Encounter Learning Center has amazing teachers and an awesome director! My son has been in the infant room for a couple of months and every teacher in the school greets him by name and with a huge smile! Everyone is extremely kind and caring and always willing to answer questions. I have been in the education field for 15 years and it is easy to tell when teachers care; these teachers do! They are true professionals.

  • My two daughters have been going to Encounter since it opened and absolutely love it. The director has a strong attention to detail and high standards which makes a mom feel good about sending her kids to school. The teachers are lovely and my kids are obsessed with them. The school organizes such fun, thoughtful arts, activities, and learning curriculum for the kids. I couldn't say enough good things about this place! I Highly recommend it!

  • My two children (3 months and 4 years) started attending Encounter in early May. We feel so lucky to have found this school! I initially reached out to Encounter after seeing a facebook post in a local mom's group. The school is fantastic! The teachers are so caring- my 4 year old son immediately loved his teacher and classmates. He comes home ready to share about all the activities he does each day. The space is clean and the director is welcoming, approachable, and highly organized.

  • Encounter is a great center for our kids! We were looking for care for our two year old and were so happy to find Encounter via one of the mom Facebook groups in town. We ended up enrolling our 4 year old for the summer too because we love it so much. The owners and staff are excellent and extremely kind and caring. The facilities are brand new and very clean, with great activities my kids love - there is always a new craft or experiment every day! My daughter loves her teacher so much and her little buddies. We love it here and are so happy we found it!

  • My son has been with Encounter for the last 6 months. My husband and I feel so lucky to have found this gem!!! Our son has been thriving and adores his friends and teachers. His vocabulary and skills have exploded and we are always blown away by the daily progress we see. They are so communicative and we so love and appreciate the pictures and updates we receive throughout the day. It really feels like a 2nd home to him. Everyone is always positive and seems genuinely happy to be there - kids and teachers alike, which of course makes us feel so good and assured that he is in the best of hands!!!

  • We LOVE ELC. We recently moved to Dedham and needed to find a new daycare for our toddler. We actually spent about 4 months driving back and forth to Brookline (30+ mins each way in traffic!) because we couldn't find a place we liked enough to switch. We stumbled upon ELC and immediately knew it was the right place for us. All of the staff are so warm and inviting and it is clear that they care greatly about the students. All of the teachers are so caring and excitedly share daily updates or new milestones - such as new words or skills. We are so grateful to have found ELC and I can't recommend it enough!

  • We LOVE Encounter, and so does our son! From our first visit, Elizabeth (the director) was warm, welcoming, extremely knowledgeable, and a truly calming presence. It always feels like a bit of a leap of faith to start your child at a new school, but Elizabeth made it so much easier. The school is small enough that she (and the teachers) really know each child, their likes/dislikes, and personality. The staff is highly communicative about what's going on, which I appreciate. The facility is new and clean, and the staff take great care to ensure high sanitation standards which is so important during these COVID times (and always!). I would absolutely recommend Encounter to anyone in the area.

  • Our son who just turned 3 started at ELC in April and we couldn't be happier. Since day 1, he's loved going to school, is learning so much, and is having so much fun with his new friends. He comes home singing new songs everyday and he's speaking in more sentences all the time. We're so impressed with the Director and the program she has put together. She has extensive early childhood experience, is amazing with kids (our son is obsessed with her), and is in consistent communication with families. She already knows our son on a personal basis, his likes and dislikes, and notices the growth he's made in a short amount of time as well. The physical space is beautiful, spacious, clean, with lots of natural sunlight. Their program is play based and there's a great app that updates you on what they're learning everyday so we can talk about it and look at pictures that night. They have a great playground and go outside several times a day as well. We highly recommend ELC!
